Little Badgers Quick Craft - Thankful Paperchain
At Badger & Burrow we love to encourage creativity, imagination and love for all things simple, that’s why each week we will be posting a quick, easy craft for little people and their grown-ups to make and enjoy.
The first of our quick crafts is a colourful thankful paperchain. A decorative paperchain that is made to be a lovely reminder of everything that makes us smile in our busy day to day lives.
- Different coloured card or paper
- Scissors
- A pen or pencil
- Sticky tape or glue
1 – Firstly grown-ups, cut the coloured paper/card into strips using the scissors. The strips need to be wide enough to write or draw on.
2 – Little ones, write or draw a picture of something you are thankful for on each strip. Grown-ups ask your little one questions to inspire them i.e. what makes you laugh? What makes you happy?
3 – Make a ring with the first strip, use glue or sticky tape to stick the ends togethers. Thread another strip through the first ring to make another and so on.
4 - Keep going until you have a lovely bright chain filled with thankfulness and love.
5 - Hang your thankful paperchain in a place for all to see and be reminded of all the wonderful things you are thankful for. Grown-ups, you could also sneak your own rings of thankfulness in there too!
Come back next week for another quick craft.
